Master 2 Ingénierie du Risque : Finance et Assurance
The Master 2 IRFA (Ingénierie du Risque : Finance et Assurance) is a Master's program in English, designed to train high level professionals in risk management and its applications in finance and insurance.
The program combines academic training with a specific preparation for professional applications. There are therefore additional training in major computational methods, projects, and professional seminars. Students will receive the required skills to deal with different job profiles in finance and insurance, which require both knowledge of models and their mathematical engineering and programming.
The Master is available in ALTERNANCE since September 2019.
The apprentices are employees of a company during the whole year and are half-time at University.
The rhythm is of 3 days at University from September to December, 2 days from January to March, 1/2 day from April to mid-June, the remaining is done in the companies (apprenticeship or internship), full-time from mid-June to August.
Some apprenticeship opportunities are proposed so selected students after the interviews.

Two tracks
Engineering of Financial MathematicsThis track prepares to high level careers in the financial industry. For example, skills include portfolio management, risk management (risk manager, managing assets and liabilities, credit analyst), the activities of the trading desk (services research, trading, middle and back office) of cash flows or the financial information technology, possibly in SSII).

Risk and InsuranceRisk theory constitutes an important part of actuarial education. This track is designed to give students a general training allowing them greater mobility in the trades of actuarial science. Besides the traditional teachings on mathematical models and methods of insurance (life and non-life), a special place is reserved for theory and for risk management.

Living as a Master 2 IRFA student
Most courses of the Master 2 IRFA take place at Maison des Sciences Economiques.
